One of our core CCA principles is the concept of a “micro-step”.
A micro-step is the smallest possible step we can take to validate whether we should take the next step or not. This keeps the risk as low as possible and allows us to think about resource allocation. Further, nothing ever turns out exactly as we plan. Sometimes it turns out far better than we could have dreamed of. Sometimes it’s a total disaster.
Welcome to life.
The concept makes sense, but people often struggle to implement it.
They nod their heads in agreement to signal; “Yes, I get it”. And then they go on to take leaps instead of micro-steps. Let me show you what it looks like to take a micro-step.
The Idea
We’ve been kicking around the idea of a “Certainty U Platinum” program. The CCA has limited spots and is price prohibitive for many. While that’s by design, it does leave room for an “incubator” type program to prepare future CCA students and to help those that cannot afford it get to the place where they can.
We put out as much free information as we can, but the reality is that growing your business often requires structure, support, and proximity.
So this morning the following idea was floated:
What if we created the structure, support system, and proximity at a price that was less prohibitive? It wouldn’t be the full CCA curriculum and level of access, but it doesn’t need to be. We could package up:

A monthly call with our mentors (Randy Massengale, former senior advisor to Bill Gates, and Dr. Jeff Spencer, performance and mindset coach to Lance Armstrong, Bono (U2), Chris Voss, Dave Asprey, and 41 Olympic medalist and world champions)

Dr. Jeff Spencer says “The key word in a champions vocabulary is restraint”. And this is where “restraint” comes into play.
Even though we think this is a no-brainer we still have to follow our own operating system and take a micro-step.
The Micro-Step
It’s simple, we’re just going to ask people
If they would be interested in this program
What it would be worth to them
Another key point: We’ve already pre-determined the minimum responses and price point that would justify organizing and building it. We do this so we don’t negotiate with ourselves after the data comes in. If it’s validated, we will take the next micro-step. If not, we will re-examine.
